Support the development of skills and character that are essential for prosperous African economies, the last frontier of significant poverty at a national level.

 How to give back?

Where can my giving have most positive social impact?  In what kind of giving can I see the impact of what I am giving to?  Where can I witness real accountability on behalf of the recipients of my giving?

Why is this? Because, while health and to some extent education benefits may go to Africans,  the economic benefit from aid goes to those who are delivering it, who are primarily non-African businesses and employees.  African companies fail to grow and become more capable;  Africans themselves remain dependent on hand-outs.

Economic prosperity for Africa depends on growing African businesses that can compete effectively, not just in Africa, but in the global marketplace.  There are a few exceptions. African Telecoms companies like MTN and Safaricom have pioneered mobile money, and have the potential to take on global finance markets. Jumia has cornered African online shopping by finding cost effective delivery mechanisms in a land where Amazon have feared to tread, due to infrastructure challenges.
